This Shipping Policy applies to all purchases made from thegeneralgoods.best, operated by Brian Matthew Foor. I am committed to ensuring a clear and reliable shipping experience for all orders.
1. Order Processing Time
Order processing is the time it takes to prepare your item(s) for shipment.
Orders placed and paid for before 4:00 PM EST on a business day (Monday-Friday, excluding US holidays) will typically be processed and shipped within 1 business day.
Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day.
Any items with specific processing times (e.g., “Ships in 3 days”) will follow the timeframe listed on the product page.
2. Shipping Destinations & Carriers
I currently ship to the contiguous United States. At this time, I may not be able to ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or certain remote locations. Shipping carriers are selected based on reliability and cost-effectiveness, and may include USPS, UPS, and FedEx.
3. Shipping Methods & Costs
Shipping costs are calculated based on the destination, package weight, and selected shipping speed.
Standard Shipping: A flat rate may be applied, or costs will be calculated automatically at checkout.
Free Shipping: I am happy to offer free standard shipping on orders over a specific amount (e.g., $50) within the contiguous US. This offer will be clearly advertised on the website.
The exact shipping cost will be displayed and confirmed with you before you complete your purchase.
4. Delivery Timeframes
Please note that delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed, as they depend on the carrier after the item is shipped.
Standard Shipping: Typically 3-7 business days after processing.
Delays due to carrier issues, weather, or customs are beyond my control.
5. International Shipping (If Applicable)
If international shipping is offered, the following will apply:
Destinations: I will clearly list the countries I can ship to.
Costs & Import Duties: All international shipping costs are calculated at checkout. Please be aware that your order may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the destination country. These charges are the customer’s responsibility; I do not have control over these charges.
Processing: International orders may require a longer handling time.
6. Returns, Exchanges, and Shipping Responsibilities
Due to My Error (Wrong/Defective Item): If an error is made on my part, I will cover the cost of return shipping and the shipment of the correct replacement item.
Customer-Initiated Returns/Exchanges (Change of Mind): If the item is unused and in its original condition, you may return it within 7 days of receipt. The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs. Upon acceptance of the return, the cost of the product will be refunded.
7. Tracking Your Order
Once your order is shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number and a link to monitor your package’s journey.
8. Risk of Loss
The risk of loss for the products you order passes to you upon my delivery of the items to the shipping carrier.
